Did you know that activating two-factor authentication (2FA) in CPanel can help protect your account from unauthorized access? With this extra layer of security, you not only need your regular password, but also an additional temporary code. This way, your data will be safer! Below, I guide you step by step to activate this function:
Step 1: Log in to CPanel
Open your browser and go to the CPanel control panel by entering the address: http://yourdomain.com/cpanel
Step 2: Find the 2FA security option
Within CPanel, go to the section Security and select Two-factor authentication. You're just one click away from adding an extra layer of protection to your account!
Step 3: Start two-factor authentication (2FA) setup
Within the two-factor authentication option in CPanel, select Set up two-factor authentication to start the process.
Step 4: Scan the QR code
Next, CPanel will generate a QR code that you must scan with your mobile phone. For this, you need an authenticator app like Google Authenticator the Authy. In this guide, we will use Google Authenticator:
- Open the authenticator app on your phone.
